Daniel Moos, pianist - conductor - producer
- In 1989, Daniel Moos graduated from ‘Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana’, Lugano under Nora Doallo. In 1990, he attended the master class of Irwin Gage at Musikhochschule Zürich (conservatory).In 1984, he attended the Jazz Improvisation Workshop of Roger Kellaway in New York and a film music seminar led by the composer Paul Glass and the music and film scholar Dr. Hansjörg Pauli.
- In 1985, Daniel Moos completed his studies in music under Prof. Dr. Constantin Floros and Dr. H. Nieden. He gave a public lecture about the work of F. Liszt in Bayreuth.
- In 1986/87, he attended the master class accompanying the ‘Bayreuth International Festival’. Here, he took part in concerts with international singers in the ‘Europasaal’ and in the ‘Marktgräflichen Opernhaus’, Bayreuth.
- In 1988, he attended the master class with Josef Sivô for violin and M. Kropfitsch for cello (Vienna). At the same time, he held a chamber music evening with instrumentalists from the ‘Vienna Symphony Orchestra’.
- In 1990, he was an ‘Orpheus competition’ prizewinner in Zurich and in 1991, he was a prizewinner in the ‘Zürcher Forum’ competition.
- For the seasons from 1991 to 1998, Daniel Moos was a guest at Zurich opera house where, among others, he worked on the following productions: Magic Flute; Mozart, Eugene Onegin; Tchaikovsky; Europeras 1+2; J. Cage, Tosca; G. Puccini, Le grand macabre; G. Ligeti, War Requiem; B. Britten, Il Trittico; G. Puccini, Duke Bluebeard’s castle; B. Bartok, Faust; Gounod as a pianist, répétiteur and orchestra musician under well-known conductors in over 150 performances.
- Upon the recommendation of leading musicians, Daniel Moos trained as an orchestra conductor at the Vienna Musikhochschule (conservatory) under Prof. B. Weil and Prof. K. Oesterreicher. He studied further courses in Vienna under Prof. J. Kalmar and Prof. J. Yuasa.
- In 1993, Daniel Moos was the artistic and administrative head of the ‘Concert series’ in Seuzach and Bad Ragaz as well as the ‘Festtagskonzerte Ascona’ where, together with well-known sponsors, he launched a wide range of cultural events.
- In 1994, he was invited to the ‘Classic Open Air Solothurn’ alongside Aldo Bertolo and Carry Persson. Here, the director Dino Arici also entrusted him with the production of a live CD.
- In 1994, he developed a working relationship with Sir Colin Davis, who advises and supports him as a mentor in his artistic work.
- In 1995, two CD recordings were made: ‘The Great Opera Arias & Love Duets’ and ‘Classics of Broadway’, each of which were produced in connection with concert tours in Switzerland
- In 1997, the ‘The Romantic Violin Music’ CD was recorded and produced in a live concert with the multiple 1st. prize winner Barbara Ciannamea on violin. The Habisreutinger international Stradivari Foundation arranged for the soloist to use the legendary Stradivari violin ‘Aurea’ from 1715.
- In 1998, he was invited to the St. Gallen ‘Culture Management Days’ as a guest contributor, where he presented his ‘Symphony of Surprises’ as a multimedia seminar experience.
- In 1999, the ‘The Highest Tenor Arias & Cabalettas’ CD was produced as a tribute to the New Millennium, a world record production of the tenor, Aldo Bertolo. Likewise, in January 2000, ‘The Italian Love Songs’ appeared as a live recording in Rapperswil Castle with Stefano Secco, tenor and Sara Galli, soprano.
- In 2000, he produced the live CD ‘The Romantic Classics’ with the solo flutist Flaviano Rossi and the harpist Elena Spotti (who, among others placed has performed at Milan’s Scala, Verona and Venice) as well as the Stradivari prizewinner, Barbara Ciannamea.
- In 2001, ‘The Passion of Opera’ was recorded live in Lucerne with six international soloists, a production to celebrate the 100th anniversary of G. Verdi.
- In 2003, the ‘The Pearls of Baroque’ CD was recorded live in Rapperswil Castle with soloists from Milan.
- In 2005, the ‘Vienna, Vienna, Vienna’ CD was recorded live in Rapperswil Castle with six international soloists.
- Within the context of the Seuzach concert series that have run since 1992, he successfully launched the 1st Classic Open Air in 2005.
- In 2006, the ‘I Virtuosi di Milano’ CD was recorded live as a world premiere with 10 wind soloists.
- In 2010, the 1st Classic Open Air took place in Burg Landenberg, Sarnen with ‘The opera under the stars’.
- In 2011, he produced the ‘The Brilliant Classics’ CD under the motto ‘China meets Switzerland’ with the star violinist Bin Huang and the Swiss cellist Claude Hauri.
- The production ‘The Glory of Sacred Music’ - ‘The Joy of Romantic Church Music’ started in May 2011 with the ‘Milan Cathedral Ensemble’ live in Milan Cathedral. Since 2012, it has been performed in several churches.
- In 2012, ‘The Brilliant Classics’– ‘China meets Switzerland’ CD was produced once again with the Chinese star violinist and 1st prize Paganini prizewinner Bin Huang and the Swiss cellist Claude Hauri. In 2012, Daniel Moos brought the violinist to the Swiss public for the first time.
- 2013/14 passed against the backdrop of many anniversaries. Moos staged the musical festivities to mark the 750th anniversary of Seuzach municipality. Within the context of the 100th anniversary of G. Verdi and the 200th anniversary of Arena di Verona, he staged many events with top soloists.
- 2017 Mr. Moos presented the first performance in Swiss of G.Donizettis Opera "Betly". A Project ordered by a client of IMP. The show was represented for more than 3500 invited guests.
- Since 2018 Mr. Moos produced "Steps in Space" with the Swiss Astronaut Claude Nicollier. All the music is live performed by 10 Soloists from the "SpaceEnsemble". A Unique experience as astronaut Claude Nicollier describes his experiences during the space shuttle is taking off from the mega-screen on stage and the "SpaceEnsemble" is playing "Fly me to the moon". World premiere 60 minute live multimedia performance show. Introducing videos, images, text light animation and of course - music.
